Canal du Midi - Part 2

This is St Madelaine's Church in Beziers that we had seen from the canal bridge. It was built and rebuilt between the 11th and 14th centuries. The bloodiest episode of the Albigensian Crusade took place here in 1209 which was the slaughter of Bezier's population.
